  • 1/2 cup Salted Butter
  • 2 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 egg Large egg
  • 1 cup Flour
  • 4 Individual 72% Dark Chocolate packs (chopped up and I used Ghirardelli Chocolate))
  • 1 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. In medium sauce pan on medium heat, melt the 1/2 cup of salted butter. After butter has melted, whisk it gently as you allow it to crack/bubble. Butter will began to turn brown as milk solids form and you will smell a nutty aroma. Once butter has began to brown, remove from the heat, it is done! Be careful not to burn the butter.

  3. Let butter cool for 10 minutes. Stir in 2 tsp Vanilla and 1/4 tsp Salt.
  4. Then add 1/2 cup Brown Sugar and 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar.

  5. Add 1 egg, large. Mix well with a spoon. Before this, make sure butter has cooled so the egg doesn’t scramble.
  6. Fold in 1 cup Flour. When measuring 1 cup of flour, spoon the flour into the cup without squishing it down.

  7. Once all combined, cut up the 4 individual packs of 72% dark chocolate and add, then add 1 cup of Semisweet Chocolate Chips.
  8. Line an 8×8 baking dish with Parchment Paper. Pour the batter in your dish. Bake for 22-25 minutes at 350 degrees depending on your oven.
  9. The top should look set and the edges should be light brown and start to pull away from the sides.
  10. IMPORTANT: Allow the Chocolate Chip Blondies to cool at least 15 minutes before cutting them into squares.
