Monday Motivation

I love Monday’s. Why?

1. Its a fresh start

2. Chance to set a new goal 

3. Its always a great day to be alive 

Monday’s can be whatever you make them to be! To me, it is a fresh start and a great way to start a new week. Before I started writing this, in the back of my head I hear people saying “I hate Monday’s, or can the week be over yet, or I don’t want to go to work today.” So lets be honest, I have thought ALL of those things too, but to look at the bigger picture I love Monday’s and I think its the opportunity for all of us to have a fresh start to a new week and to set a weekly goal for ourselves! If you think happy, you will be happy. Rather your weekly goal is going to the gym 4 times that week, eating healthy every night, or spending more time with family/friends/or having time to yourself. Whatever it may be, I think we should all try to think of Monday’s as a new week, a week for you to do something different or to accomplish something you have been wanting to do!

Sometimes, I ask myself why do so many people hate Monday’s!? Trust me, I have been there too, where I wish the weekend was longer or I didn’t want the weekend to end. But, there will be another weekend just 5 days away and life is too short to not enjoy the week! So, for those that are feeling a little discouraged or need some motivation here are 5 ways to make your week better and more successful! 🙂

1. Look at the positive, or find the positive. 

No matter what is happening in your life, you are alive and God gave you this awesome life to live so go live it like today could be your last day. Make someone else smile, because you never know what they may be going through. Life can be tough at times, but if you dig deep for the positive in the hard times, God will give you strength to get you through whatever you may be going through. It will make you stronger in the end! Being positive can have such a strong impact on others and it can make your days so much better!

2. Make time for yourself and the things you like to do. 

As I get older, I have realized that this can be so important for your own mental health. I am one of those people that like to go non-stop, which is not a bad thing but remember to make time for the things you enjoy. For an example, my blog is one of the things I love to do in my free time and honestly this is why I started it! Relax or find a new hobby! I am a person that is always for trying something new, so don’t ever be afraid to do that. I started trying new work-out classes by myself, which can be a little weird, but I felt proud of myself for stepping outside of my box! Also, its a good way to meet new friends! 🙂

3. Go to bed earlier and wake up earlier. 

I feel like I should be speaking to myself as I write this. I am the worse at this honestly… I am a night owl and a morning person. Crazy, right!? I seem to focus well at night and I love to be up early so I don’t feel like I waste the day. But as long as you are getting a healthy amount of sleep its okay, right!? Make the most of your time, start your day out with the thing you may not want to do at the end of the day. For insistence, if you like to get your workout over with, make yourself get up and do it, so first of all you are already starting your day off to be productive, and you have the rest of the night to do whatever you may want to do! If you lead your day with a positive action rather its not being rushed in the morning, fixing breakfast, waking up on time, being at work early, working out or having some Jesus time, and you feel productive, chances are the rest of your day will be much more productive!

4. Give yourself a break and have fun on the weekends. 

Letting yourself recharge from the work week is so essential to a healthy lifestyle. I definitely believe in “work hard, play harder.” Therefore, on the weekends I try to plan to do something I enjoy doing, and so should you! Rather its being with friends and family, being outdoors, reading a new book, traveling, shopping or anything else that sets your mind free! It is good to give yourself a break, so then you feel recharged once Monday comes! 🙂 Work smart and use your time wisely!

5. Plan ahead. Know what you want to accomplish for the week. Talk to God more.

Planning ahead can help you remember your goals and what you want to accomplish. Instead of trying to figure out what you want to do with your day and being bogged down by all of the things you may have to get done, think about it, write it down if it helps, and plan to make your day productive. Every day is how you make it, so make it great!

Talk to God more, pray more, and grow closer to him. He is always there for you every day! Having quiet time with God can change your life and make every day better! I know that I can even work at being better about this each day. God loves and cares for every one of us! He has a plan for everyone!♥ Just believe in him! Pray more and worry less!
